SPDY protocol (pronounced as speedy ) is a new protocol which is aiming to speed up the web, with the advances in technologies, goggles team is developing a new protocol. SPDY creates a “session” which resides between the HTTP application layer and the TCP (Transmission control protocol) transport to regulate the flow of data between web server’s and the applications resulting a quick response on load time.

By the way this new protocol might not be a complete replacement to the standard forever protocol HTTP but for sure it will help a site respond a few milliseconds less so it will in return increase the people engagement .
