ShutdownGuard a windows freeware utility helps prevent 
applications to shutdown without notifying you, reboot or log off your computer. When it prevents a shutdown it will pop up in the tray and asks you for the permission whether you want to continue.In Ms windows XP you will see tool-tip while on Vista and windows7 you see below screen which shows you page notifying applications blocking shutdown. no virus adware or spyware verified by Softpedia.
